If you want art from a specific place or time, chances are MidJourney can do it for you. Let’s start with a prompt. Let’s make sure it’s ultra-wide so we’ll make the aspect ratio 2:1.

Prompt: toronto 1910 –ar 2:1

Version 4 is clearly the best. Let’s make 4 variations. The first two do not even look like Toronto. However, the bottom two do. The 4th one is the best because there is snow and brick buildings.

I would say version 4 is the best again. Let’s upscale it and see what happens.

This is a pretty good result. However, you can still see some artifacts. Perhaps MidJourney in the future will have a better solution for this. Maybe a tool where you could select a portion and ask to redo it. I’m surprised this came out so quickly. Sometimes you really have to fight with MidJourney to get what you want, other times the solution comes out quite easily.
