Adding a lens flare to sunbeams in a forest in MidJourney

Let’s make a sunny forest scene. Just for fun, let’s add lens flares and sunbeams. Let’s start with a prompt

Prompt: A forest on a sunny day with lots of sunbeams, one lens flare

This is a great first try. There’s almost nothing to change unless we want to be picky. Let’s see if we can make this scene amazing. Let’s add the word national geographic, –ar 16:9 to change the aspect ratio and, saturated. This should give a more vibrant color and look to the image.

Prompt: A forest on a sunny day with lots of sunbeams, one lens flare, national geographic, saturated, –ar 16:9

Again, I’m surprised at how good this is. Let’s do it one more time. This time we’ll add 32k and –quality 5

Prompt: A forest on a sunny day with lots of sunbeams, one lens flare, national geographic, saturated, 32k –ar 16:9 –quality 5

I think #1 is the best so let’s go ahead and make some variations.

Variations

I think version 3 is the best so let’s make a full render.

Not bad. There are still a few artifacts but nevertheless, it looks really good. If you really want to, you could re-render this a few times until you get the right result. Either way, I think this looks good. In theory, you could have just started with the first picture.
